Beauty / Skincare Wish List - May 2015

So another Month Rolls in and It's time to do my monthly skincare and beauty wish list and this month i've ticked a few more of my lists. See My January, February and April lists (Sorry i didn't find much i wanted in March).

Off My Wishlist (Purchased)

OPI Avoplex Cuticle Oil to go - £10.50 - This featured on last months list and I decided to get my hands on this oil. I am currently finishing an old one off to soon replace this and i can't wait to use it. I will keep you updated on this one.

Redken Hair Cleansing Cream 300ml - £11.25 - Also from last months list, I finally bit the bullet this month and have recently purchased this (Which will feature in my next Haul). My hair really struggles to go a day without washing so i feel it's time to get rid of the build up. Excited to try this out.

Maybelline Instant Anti Age Rewind Concealer - £7.99 - Featured in February's list, I have also recently purchased this (Which will feature in my next haul) It was on a 3 for 2 offer so i was happy to get this. I really hope it lives up to the hype. I hope this will help me to keep hold of concealer a bit longer and i can use these two together.

L'oreal Paris True Match Foundation - £9.99 -  And finally one from January. After using powder foundation for some time i decided to go back to liquid for a little as for me in the summer i much prefer it. So far i am loving this foundation in the shade fair and it is really bendable and leaves my skin finish looking natural. I am very glad i decided to pick this up.

I think this month I got a few things ticked off the want list. Alas there are still items I wish to try. Ever the blogger i am inside:

Wishlist:

MAC Matte Finish Lipstick in the Shade Mehr £15.50 - I saw Lily Pebbles wear this and i just loved the shade. My lips are quite pink so a lot of shades look horrendous on me, however this looks like the perfect shade for me.

REN Clear Calm 3 Clarifying Clay Cleanser - £19.00 - Clay based products and I are a match made in heaven and when i saw this little gem it needed to be on this list. Anything with Clay in it, especially masks really made my dull tried skin breathe life once more. I can't wait to try this.

NYX Setting Spray - £10.00  - The urban decay setting spray is a little bit expensive so i wanted to find a cheaper one, however there isn't many on the market. NYX have however brought their own out and i really want to give this a whirl.

The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil - £10.00 - I keep meaning to try this as i really have a great love for cleansing oils. They take off your make up so effortlessly and they make you skin feel nice, unlike micellar waters after use. I think this might be my next oil purchase when i finish my current one.

Lancome Grandious Mascara - £24.50 - An utter high end splurge product but after a bad mascara experiences i would love to know how good this one really is. I also want to know how easy it is to apply with it's swanned neck.

St Tropez Gradual in Shower Tan - £14.50 - Yes i am intrigued how this will work because i am one of these lazy tanners and if this makes it easier to do this. I really hate the smell of fake tan and how much of a chore it is even to look less pasty (and believe me i really am the pillsbury dough man).

And there you have my wishlist, let me know what items from this list you would love to try and what is on your wishlist.

February Favourites 2015

One month ends and another month starts anew, and now it's time to review the products I have been loving this month. My February Favourites.

Let's start with the larger products.

Liz Earle Gentle Face Exfoliator 70ml- £15.75 - Everyone raves about the skin and polish, which i do love but people fail to give a lot of other Liz Earle products a try. This exfoliator is one you should try. My skin really hates Exfoliators at the best time and as i have had a bout of Eczema on my face, having something as gentle as this to get the dead skins cells of my face has really helped. I love the smells and how the Jojoba beads gently clean my face. Love it.

Caudalie Moisturising Toner 200ml - £14.25 (Pictured 400ml which seems to be have discontinued) - Not sure why they have gotten rid of the 400ml size but this is the best toner i have used. I used to think toner was a bit of a fad stage because everyone toner i tried seem to be more chemical than anything nice. Caudalie uses grapes, mint and plant extract to make its product so nice. I love this day when my skin needs a natural rescue.

La Roche-Posay Serozinc - £8.50 - People were not lying when they told me about how amazing the product was. This spray containing Zinc, a natural mineral really has helped to clear up my recent break out of spot. I especially love the little spray pump, it makes it so easy to apply.

Co Lab Dry Shampoo 200ml - £3.49 - You may look at the price tag and think how can such a cheap product be good. Well you are wrong, this is what we have been waiting for. I Love Batiste but the amount of brushing you have to do to hide the dry shampoo is ridiculous. I love this for it's invisibleness when you really do not have time to wash your hair or are trying to leave your hair. I think i will be definitely trying to the Extra Volume version in this range.

Now onto the smaller items.

Balance Me Radiance Face Oil 10ml - £15.00 - This handy travel size oil is perfect for Travel and for ease of use, the little roller ball makes it so easy to apply the oil and the results are amazing. My face naturally glows the next morning as the oil has had time to restore my face. I highly recommend this as a night treat. It is a little sticky at first but once it has dried you will barely even tell it was there.

Bareminerals Original SPF 15 Foundation - £25.00 - I decided to switch to fair this month and i really do not regret it. This is my favourite mineral foundation and it never disappoints me. There are so many shades and it is so easy to apply. The great thing is, you barely used any and the coverage is very high and lasts all day. Very much in love with this foundation.

Clinique Mouisture Surge 10ml (In a gift set) Full Size £34.00 - I wanted to try this before investing in this moisturiser and i have noticed that my skin has looked far less dry and with me having Eczema on my face this month, i have had no irritation on my skin. My skin has felt so much softer and I have noticed this has helped give my face the hydration it has needed from the cracking of my cheeks. Will be buying the full sized pot soon.

MAC Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 30ml - £21.50 - I have never tried MAC Prodcuts really before but after picking this up, i was thrilled, the coverage and ease of application was fantastic. My only grip is the pot doesn't come with pump and the smell is a little like paint, however once this is applied, your face is set for the day, it stays on all day and never once budged from my face. Amazing product and i am starting to see why people love MAC so much.

And that is all my favourites from this month. Tell me what you loved in the comments below. Until next month.

MAC Lipsticks - Viva Glam VS Creamsheen

MAC is one of the most rated brands for lipstick's on the market. I was keen to see what all the fuss was about and what is the difference between the two. I decided to Pick up one from the VIVA Glam range, VI Frost (In the red) and Coral Bliss (In the Silver).

The two were beautiful colours, the Frost colour is more of a plumb red with glitter and the Coral Bliss is a Coral Pink. I picked both of these because of the colours when i saw these on the counter. So I decided to try these out.

Coral Bliss I can't say I am happy with this lipstick that much, it did not pay off much on my lips, which are normally quite pink. However this colour did work well, when i got it to work. The formulation of this lipstick, which i assume is for all the Creamsheen lipsticks was very difficult to work with. It took a good few applications and the lipstick felt very solid, it didn't seem to blend very well. I assume these are meant to be a matte finish, which i feel is a bit deceiving for the title.

Frost however was miles better, i love how this colour looks on my lips and looked great with my colour. The lipstick was a lot softer and only took one application. It even had a fantastic smell which made applying it enjoyable. I love a nice smelling lip product. The product was very blend-able and easy to work on the lips. I just loved everything about this lip product.

Overall, i don't think i will be quick to repurchase a creamsheen after i picked up this one, unless i hear anything otherwise, maybe i just got a bad lipstick or something but it wasn't as creamy as it seemed. However the Viva Glam range, i would love to extend and possible try the satin to see if these range are any different.

Collective haul - Liz Earle, MAC, MUA, L'Oreal, Clinique and Revlon

So I have been doing a little bit of shopping, yes even in these cold winter months and I wanted to show you what goodies I picked up.

The first is from MAC. I haven't really bought too much from MAC, why i will never know!? so needed to rectify this because I felt such a shame to the beauty world. So I decided to pick up a couple of items. As a rule, i tend to pick my two play safe items when trying out a company for real and the two products are always a lip product and a foundation.

Mac Creamsheen Glass in Romantic Overture £17.50.

This is a glittery nude shade and i absolutely love it. It has such a great finish and isn't too sticky. The packaging is also just to die for, with the beautiful glittery touch, it really makes sense why MAC is one of the top brands and they really put their all into their products.

MAC Studio Fix Foundation NW13 £21.50

I was colour matched by the lady at the counter with this foundation and so far i really like it, i think it might be just a tad too dark but using little and blending, with powder it doesn't look strange on my skin. I really like the texture and the finish of this foundation is utterly flawless. I barely noticed any redness or anything on my skin. Truly impressed.

I next picked up a product from the Liz Earle and i bought this online from a blogger who was selling some Clinique samples.

Liz Earle Gentle Face Exfoliator £15.75

I love exfoliators, since running out of my soap and glory one i was wanting to try something new. After having two samples of the cleanse and polish recently from a beauty box and advent calendar, and was impressed by the product i really wanted to try something else from the brand. The smell of this is beautiful, with it's main ingredients being Eucalyptus, it really makes you feel like you are not just at a spa, but you know you are using a product with natural ingredients. It really cleans my skin and exfoliates it so gently. I will definitely be looking to even more Liz Earle products.

Clinique Moisture Surge - Item from a Gift Set.

I am after a brand new moisturiser and before i wanted to take the plunge, i saw that someone was selling some items from a Clinique giftset, so i decided to take the change and buy this one. I have heard a lot about the moisture surge and so far, i really do like it. My skin feels so much smoother, hydrated and my skin is showing less redness and blemishes. I am glad i have tried it, as much as a i love my Dr Organic moisturiser, sometimes the rose scent is not something i fancy smelling every day. The fact this is scentless, for me, suits what i am after more, I think as soon as my full size Dr organic's are gone, i will be visiting the Clinique counter.

And last of all three concealers, two for under the eyes and one for those pesky blemishes and spots that creep up on you.

MUA Undress Your Skin Undereye Concealer - £3.00

I didn't have too high expectations and well this concealer was ok, it concealed but it doesn't last all too long for me, it doesn't brighten much either, not as much as the L'oreal one pictured. For the price it does it's job but there are better on the market.

L'Oreal Touche Magique Concealer - £8.19

The dupe for the YSL Touche' Eclat, this is a very good under eye concealer, i really like the formula and it really does give my eyes enough brightness as well as covering up the dark circles. You can tell that L'Oreal owns YSL because it really does do a very similar job.

Revlon Colour Stay Concealer - £6.99
I wanted to try this because a lot of people say the concealer and foundation are not much alike. I really did not like the Foundation, everyone raves about it, but for me with dry skin, it was a dry skin clinger. This one, it isn't so bad but it does seem to cling a little like the foundation. Not as much, i do prefer the collection concealer still to this as i have never had these issues. Good coverage though for sure.

And that was my haul, i hope you liked it. If you did leave a comment and tell me if you have tried any of these products and what you liked about them.
