Spring /Summer Makeup - 2015

Spring is here and summer is just around the corner and it's that time where we pack away our thick matt make up and change it up for something more light and summery. Here are my summer picks to make you look and feel good without feeling weighed down this summer:

Bareminerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydration Gel Cream - £26.00 - I believe this is perfect for for summer and being bare mineral's one of my all time favourite brands, they are kicking a punch with this. It has SPF 30 in it which will help protect your skin in the summer. This product is so light so it will not clog your face. Not just that this is more than just a foundation, it has skincare in this brand which is a total win. I wouldn't replace this with your normal skincare but i believe keeping skin hydrated is always amazing because in summer this is something a lot of people forget. It comes in so many shades and i believe with the properties in it i think this is a first for everyone foundation. I am in love with this.

Clinique Blushing Blush powder - In pink Love - £22.00 - I recently got a sample of this in a gift bag i got from Clinique and pink love in particularly is stunning. It gives such a stunning summer flush with a glittery glow. There are so many different shades of this which I believe a lot of these are too perfect for spring and summer. The product is really easy to apply and very bendable so you can put on a little or as much as you want.

Revlon Colourburst in Mischievous - £7.99  - This orange colour is the perfect shade for summer, it really pops and makes such a beautiful statement as you are lying on the beach or walking around in the sun. These crayons may be matte but they feel very
moisturising on the lips and with the sun beaming on you, you don't want your lip product moving. This one stays on your lips and looks amazing for hours on end.

Borujois Delice de Pourde Gold Bronzing Powder.  - £7.99 - This gold shimmery bronzer is perfect for summer, it makes your skin look summer shiny and not greasy which is perfect if you aren't in the hottest of countries. I really love the way this applies, it is very bendable and lasts for hours.

Maybelline The Rocket Mascara - £7.99  - I've accidentally had this on when i went for a dip in the pool and the sea and this has budged. For £7.99 this waterproof mascara is perfect. I have never had one issue with this, although some people do have an issue with the brush inside. I think it gives amazing volume and last all day.

Kiko Infinity Eyeshadow in Gold - £2.80 This shade is so stunning and is perfect for summer. The shimmery shade goes perfect with the rest of the make up and looks subtle enough to keep your lips popping. I adore kiko's eyeshadows and i believe so far they are so underated.

And that is my Spring Summer Make up item recommendations. What do you love to wear in spring/summer? Leave a comment below.

April Fashion Haul 2015 - Keep / Take Back

I'm slowly clearing out and buying out some new things for the spring / summer time for my wardrobe. Unlike before i really am making sure that i love every piece i buy and i refuse to buy items that i am not happy with for whatever reason it may be. If i make that error i always make sure i take the item back after a few days deliberating on where i can wear it and how. We all do it, we buy and we think we will wear something, and it gets left in the back of the wardrobe and we wonder why we bought it at all.

Floral Jersey Dress - £14.99 -H&M - This dress is stunning and i had been looking for the perfect dress for work. I love the classic cut and design of it. It also very comfortable to wear especially since i have been looking for more dresses to wear to work. VERDICT: Keeping, i have worn this and had so many compliments so far. Love it.

Jersey Dress - H&M - £12.99 - I had been eyeing a dress which was very similar to this in topshop last winter but i couldn't justify spending £35.00 on a dress, even though i knew it would have got worn. When i found this bargain i had to purchase it and i know i will get some wear out of it when the weather is cooler during this season. - VERDICT: Keeping for sure, I managed to hold out and find the style much cheaper for something i know i will wear.

Spotted Jersey Dress - £12.99 - I love the pattern on this dress, it is a really nice material but has a dropped back to it. I really cannot wear these dresses as i feel uncomfortable in them with the fit of the dress and also, i sadly suffer from a small but of back acne which makes me feel unforgettable exposing. VERDICT: Take back, this dress would end up the in the back of the wardrobe and never worn.

A Line Top - £7.99 - H&M -I love this style top and for some reason i am OBSESSED. With stripes (If you couldn't tell from above) and this top i just fell in love with. I love the flattering shape and i love how the neckline is black. The top is also very soft. VERDICT:  Keeping, i love this and it is such a versatile top to wear.

Light Denim Wash Jeans £7.99 - When i saw these jeans i was thrilled with the price. I wear jeans but i don't wear them too often because my skin needs time to breathe with me having eczema. The colour and price i was sold on. They don't look cheap either. VERDICT: Keeping, my old jeans were on deaths door and ruined and for this price i cannot go wrong.

Dark Denim Wash Jeans £7.99 - These are the same as above but a different colour, i was so thrilled with those i picked these up. These you can see they are cheaper but they fit really well compared to a lot of dark jeans i have tried. VERDICT: Keeping, again for the price and the amount i wear jeans i cannot go wrong.

Daisy Shell Coloured Roll Sleeved Top - New Look - £7.99 - Bought in the 2 for £12 on logo tops - sale - I have just had a HUGE clear out of tops recently so i was on the hunt for some new ones. I feel in love with this one because it was different to a lot I have been saying and it seemed very fitting for Spring / Summer. Also loved the colour. VERDICT: Keeping, i've had so many compliments on this top and it's so comfy!
Cream  Love Heart T-shirt - New Look - £7.99Bought in the 2 for £12 on logo tops - I don't usually go for grungy style shirts but this one i really liked. I liked the symbolism of it. In even the darkest of hearts, love is always there. VERDICT: Keeping, I love everything about this shirt.

Shell Brushstroke Heart T-shirt - New Look - £7.99 -  Bought in the 2 for £12 on logo tops - I was struggling a little when i bought this for the 2 for £12 but when i saw this i was very happy. It wasn't my first choice but is something i believe i can work with. VERDICT: Keep, I love these shirts and despite the design not something i was looking for, I did love this.

Weekends I Love You Shirt - £7.99 - New Look  -  Bought in the 2 for £12 on logo tops - As well as tops to wear everyday, I was really after some lazy day weekend tops i can lounge around the house in with my joggers / PJ bottoms and up came this top. PERFECT. VERDICT: Keeping because we all do love a good weekend, especially myself who works weekdays.

Black Tre's Chic T-Shirt - £7.99 - New Look  -  Bought in the 2 for £12 on logo tops - I love simple slogan shirts and I have seen several models wear something similar and well i just couldn't help it. I aren't very stylish but hey can't hurt to try. VERDICT: Keeping, i really can work with this t-shirt, especially with the jeans i have just bought.

Poppy Rose Midi Skirt - New Look and Sugarhill Boutique - £28.00 - A bit of a splurge product, however i have been looking for summer skirts that I really want to wear. As part of my clear out i have found a lot which i really now wouldn't wear, still new with tags on and haven't worn. I fell completely in love with this because i know exactly how to style this piece. VERDICT: Keeping, it may have been one of the expensive things i've bought but i know for a fact i will get some wear out of it.

Black Textured Duster Coat -  New Look - £29.99 - I love duster coats and i have been meaning to get one. They are light and in the cold spring windy weather they really keep you warm. I really fell in love with this coat and ordered it online as soon as a i saw it. VERDICT: Not keeping, sadly when i tried this coat on, i really didn't fit on me well, I think maybe i ordered it in the wrong size but i looked drowned in the coat. I will be taking this back and seeing if a smaller size will suit. If not i might be after one in a different colour.  I am on the hunt for a duster coat.

Printed Shirt - Zara - £29.99  - I saw Zoella wear this in her video and i was obsessed. I have been looking for some more shirts for works and Zara always seem to be one place I gravitate towards. These shirts are a little more expensive than i'd usually pay for work but if i love it, i'll wear it. VERDICT: Keeping, i just love this shirt and it is perfect for Spring.

Bird Print Shirt - £25.99 - Zara  - I love birds and i love cream shirts, and this was the perfect combination. I was really happy to find this shirt and i feel i can wear this in so many different ways throughout spring. VERDICT: Keeping, i feel this shirt is very versatile and i just adore the print.

I will be posting a few of these as I go along updating my wardrobe and my verdict of keeping or taking back the items i choose. I  really hope you guys like this post and maybe it has helped you to choose if you really want to keep some of the items you buy before it's too late to take them back.

Let me know in the comments.

April Music Playlist 2015

Here is my music playlist for April, since spotify has removed embedded coding access i've had to turn to youtube to showcase my love for music and to share with you guys what i have been into this month so far. So i have adopted a brand new format:

1. Walk off the Earth - Rule the World - This song makes me so excited for summer, i absolutely love this anthem type music and this band are growing from strength to strength. Walk the earth have found music fame simply through the youtube platform my doing simply covers and are now creating their own original music. One to watch this year.

2. Mumford and Sons - Believe - Yes they are back and their sound is very new too, i absolutely love this song and this direction. The song itself is very simple but the execution really speaks. I cannot wait for their new album.

3. Florence and the Machine - What kind of Man - I love this song for message. No woman should be exposed to abuse and no woman should be afraid to speak out about being abused. I hope this song speaks out to so many people, men or women who have suffered and hopefully it may help some people get out of there. The song is powerful and really well executed and the video marries well with it.

4. One Republic - I Lived - This song, like Florence's is right up the street of a great message executed well. I love the lyrics and the upbeat tone of the song is wonderful. It doesn't matter how beat up you get about life, you can get through it.

5. James Bay - Hold Back the River - This is a really chilled lay back track with such an amazing vocalist at the helm. It is perfect for these lazy sunny days anthem. I think James bay is going to be huge in 2015.

6. Death Cab For Cutie - Black Sun -  I have loved this band for years and years and this brand new song from them is perfect. For sure a perfect example of an amazing band who keeps making really amazing music. I can't wait to see what else they release this year.

7. St Vincent - Digital Witness - I like this song mainly for what it is saying, that basically a lot of our lives have become so consumed by electronics and we spend so much time on these mediums and not socialise like we used to.

8. Florrie - Too Young to Remember - A fun pop song, which feels very throwback which i really love. I really miss the 90's and growing up in the 90's, it was so much fun, bar the horrendous fashion we went through that era.

9. Taylor Swift - Style - I love me some taylor swift and i am so excited to be seeing her live in June. I adore this song, it was one i really took to at the launch of the album. I love the lyrics and the song really does sound catwalk esk.

And that concludes for my playlist. What songs have you been loving this month?

Beauty / Skincare Wishlist - April 2015

Another month passes, another wishlist is upon us. I completely missed last month, as I did take a little shopping haul which cleared a few things i really did want in March. I wasn't too successful in buying much from my last two wish lists from January and February, however i have crossed two items off the list.

Off my Wishlist

Clinique Moisture Surge 50ml - £34.00 - In February i decided i really wanted this moisturiser and after my Dr Organic moisturiser is on it's last few scoops i felt i could finally justify buying the full size of this. I feel in love after using my travel size sample up and i wanted to use this more as my main moisturiser as it seems a lot better than my previous. I really love how this feels on my skin and it really keeps it from being dry.

La Roche Posay Serozinc- £8.50 - As i am sure you have seen, i did knock this off my January list a while ago now and i am loving it. Whenever i get a break out i spray this and it helps with the aid of getting rid of them. I am thrilled we can get this product here now. It's brilliant.

New Additions to my Wishlist

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara - £19.50 - I have heard and seen the hype, but because i've been so busy with work, i completely forgot to pick up the magazine with the sample of this mascara! ARGH! So it looks like i shall have to get my hands on the full size. I have heard this is brilliant at giving full last curls which is something i would love to add to my mascara mix. I have recently been trying the Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara and noticed that it seems i am getting way less fall out than the Benefit They're Real Mascara so i am keen to try this and see if it is better than it's top selling rival.

First Aid Beauty Radiance Pads - £22.00 - Everyone keeps mentioning these and i keep meaning to try these. I think these would make cleaning your face so much easier and i do love first aid beauty because it's great for sensitive skin.

OPI Avoplex Cuticle Oil to go - £10.50 - With winter on it's way out, i really need to fix my nails and this has come highly recommended so i really need to get hold of this to help sort them out so i can enjoy putting on nail polish more often on my nails.

Redken Hair Cleansing Cream 300ml - £11.25 - I do notice with having shorter hair that product does tend to build a little in my hair at some point during the week and i do find it hard to get rid of it. I've heard of clarifying shampoo's but there isn't a huge range yet on the market, i am assuming they are a new thing? I have used Redken products before and really liked them so i think this one will be the next on my list to use once a week in between my normal washes.

All-in-one Body Shop BB Cream - £12.00 - After a failed attempt at finding a good BB which fitted my skin tone, I am still keen to find one. I have heard this body shop is great, and not just that, the shades are really bendable and don't look too dark. I think i will pick these up before i go on holiday this summer.

Avene Cicalfate Repair Cream 40ml - £7.50 - As you may well know i suffer from Eczema, and the repair stage is one of the hardest, especially the eczema on my hands, which has been the worst i have ever had it. I am trying to use non-steroid methods and this looks like it may help with the repair of my skin.

And there you have it, my wish list items for this month. What items are you wishing for?

The glamour beauty spring edit

Spring is around the corner and Glamour alongside latestinbeauty have come up with a great edit in this beauty box. The colours on the front of the box are so pretty and i just adore the font.

The boxes are always so well packaged, even down to the smallest details. You even get an offer leaflet, information about all the products and in this edit, you get a 12 month subscription to paper and electronic version their magazine which is amazing! at £16.99 this is nice box, i got this mainly for the magazine subscription and some of the products that i will mention below.

So down to the products as you can see there is a nice selection. The first is the Nuxe Creame Freche,i received this in the dream beauty box 3 and i loved it so much, so i am glad to have another to use up!

The next is a sample of the Elle Saab Perfume. I love trying out samples of perfume and this floral scent is really lovely, for me some floral scents are a bit strong for me but this a perfect fresh spring floral which is excellent.

Beauty UK have come up with a winner here, i have tried many affordable brow kits and i have to say, this one is one of the best i have tried. The colour selection is great and the wax really helps to hold the colour. The tweezer's aren't the best i've tried but are a nice handbag mini in those dire emergencies!

A blush and lip product from Model Co in just peachy, i was little frightened of this product because i looked at it and wow it looked extremely red. However this is not the case and it is very bendable, so don't panic that you will look sunburnt! You will look naturally flush.

One item I was excited and was an item i pondered when i last ordered from Kiko and this is the Long Lasting Eyeshadow Stick in shade 2 which is a very gold bronze. I was a little scared that this would be very strong but after bending out it was perfect, the right amount of glitter and colour, i will definitely be looking to get more of these in future.

I am in love with this Revlon Nail collection, you will always get the Top coat and one of three colours, brilliant idea guys from their Nail Gel Envy range. The amount of nail varnishes you get in these boxes i have been waiting for a top coat to come with it. So i am very pleased. I do love a good red, but for me, red isn't really a spring type colour, so i think i might save it for christmas time. Unless this is just me? I think for me i would have preferred the nude brown.

Another product i really wanted was the Moroccan oil intense hydrating hair mask, i have been wanting to try something from this brand before i bought a full size of the oil and i can say now, that purchase is higher on my list. The mask made my hair feel so clean and fresh and my hair feels a lot stronger. I have hardly had any fly aways or frizz after use. Impressed!

Finally the Rimmel oh my gloss in the shade Glossaholic. This is such a nice pinky shade which goes well with my very pinky toned lips. It has a slight shimmer to also which is great for coming up to summer. This gloss isn't too sticky and smells nice too.

And there you have it, another AMAZING box from Glamour and Latestinbeauty. Check it out here.
