Affordable Office Wear - Recent Purchases

As i work in the office, i thought i would share a few office wear items i have been purchasing to not just look the part but feel comfortable in the part. As well as that, sometimes office clothes can be a little on the expensive side, unless you know where to look, so here is my affordable office wear recent purchases guide.

H&M Suit Trousers - £14.99  - These are the most comfiest and great value for money trousers i can find. Usually in a lot of places you can easily spend £25+ on a pair of trousers, so these are a steal! I got myself a pair of Black and Dark blue and will be getting my hands on the grey pair next. I just love trousers for work and the fact they come in so many different colours. These are comfortable, practical and when the weather isn't so great, especially when the summer downpour comes, trousers are a great way to keep warm and protected from the rain. I have found these trousers dry quickly too, so if you need to run to your car etc to get to work, you won't be feeling drenched for long.

Sleeveless Blouse - £12.99 - I love these style of shirts, which are very Japanese inspired with the new cut at the top. They are very practical and for summer keep you cool. I love the simplicity of the top and the lack of sleeves mean you will keep cool in the office all day.

Petite Navy Sleevless Shirt - £10.00  - I loved the first shirt so much i found this one in Dorothy Perkins, so i decided to pick this up. This one is a little longer in the body but still feels and works in the same way as the top from H&M. I was shocked this was in the sale too as such a good price, and of course being in the petite range, which i wouldn't say i am petite but i can sure get away with wearing this range.

Petite Crochet Top with Lace Collar -  £10.00 - I love Crochet and this cute collar in this sleeveless top is beautiful, and when i saw this in the sale isle, i had to get this. The shirt is the perfect length and adds that even to the front. It is very work practical and is sleeveless for the summer months. Complete bargain!

Petite Sleeveless Top - £12.00  - I do love a good pattern, and as the rest of my choices so far have been a little on the plain side, i decided to switch it up with this top. I adore floral print and this is no exception, throw in a peter pan colour and this makes the perfect pretty top for the office. I was shocked this item wasn't in the sale and was excellent value for money. Perfect when you don't want to spend a lot for work wear.

Stripe Sleeveless Top - £12.00  - I saw a top similar to this on New look but was sold out, and i couldn't find it in three stores that i tried. So i was glad to find something practically the same on Dorothy Perkins, it throws together casual and office all in one.  It keeps you cool in the summer and looks great. I do think i might wear this more out of office as it seems quite long and doesn't work too well with anything but a skirt. But i'm sure this will be excellent to rock with jeans or denim shorts. Even better this was in the sale!

Short Sleeved Floral Dress - £14.99 - H&M make some excellent office dresses and this really caught my eye, it's simple yet elegant and it really looks smart. I love the floral patterning on it and this dress fits so well in all the right places.

I hope this little edit gives you an idea of where to look. H&M and dorothy perkins are personally my favourite for office wear. New Look does too hold a lot of great things, and even with that, you can grab little pieces like this even in the sales, so keep your eyes pealed. Get out there and hunt down these hot bargains!

Beauty / Skincare Wish List - July 2015

Sorry for the hiatus, life has been a little crazy but I'm back with a classic of mine, a monthly beauty / skincare wishlist for July. I sadly missed June as i didn't find anything really i wanted so here is July's version:

Off the Wishlist

ST Tropez Gradual In Shower Tan - £14.50 - This came on offer last month so I had to pick this up and i have to say this is excellent, it leaves a lovely gradual tan and is way easier than some of their other products which I find streak. The only thing i will say is, do not leave it longer than recommended.  I sadly missed a few blobs of this on my feet and the dark tan spot is still there.

On the Wishlist:

Max Factor Clump Defying Mascara - £10.99 - I have heard quite a few people rave about this Mascara and as someone who loathes those thick clumpy lashes, I think this product is one i need to try. I also do like the look of the wand, which is one shape i have used on other mascara's and loved.

Tangle Teezer Compact hair brush - £12.25 - I love compact brushes and as the tangle teezer is a high rated brand, i would love to see what the fuss is about. As i am going on holiday in September, i want as many compact things to take, so i think this would be ideal for my travels and will ensure i don't have any damaged bristles like i have with other brushes.

Loreal Tecni Art Full Volume Extra Moose - £11.49 - As i plan to change the style of my hair soon, i would love to give my hair some volume as i do it. I saw youtube Estee from Essiebutton use this and as i have had so many problems with moose, i think the nozzle on this would make moose applying so much easier.

Pixi Make up Fixing Mist - £16.00 - I love when make up lasts all day and these little saviours in a bottle seem to do the trick, so i will add this to my wishlist simply on that basis.

BY TERRY - Ombre Black Star Eyeshadows £29.00 These are all the trend at the moment and a complete dreamy wishlist item that i will never buy purely because of how expensive it is. I love the Kiko ones which are miles more affordable and would love to see how they compare.

Watch Brand's of 2015.

Watches are a part of fashion we all love, and not just love we admire. This one of the only devices when have really stood the test of time. Especially now since a lot of people use their phones to tell the time, and even technology itself has recognised how important the watch is by combining them together.

However, i want to go to the brands which i don't believe are so well known and talk about my favourite brands.

These watches are a women only brand, and span in a price range from £65.00 - £150. They come in a range of styles to suit every woman taste. The range spans the size and shape of the dial (round or square), the different straps which include, leather, link, mesh and double straps in a range of colours. The price depends on the type of watch you want, with more expensive button operation or bigger dial. For a lovely gift you would not be spoilt for choice as the range offers varying face designs from woodland creatures, floral or plain style. The range of metal finishes such as gold, black, rose gold and silver all avaliable for sale. I can see why these are very popular watches out there and definitely on the affordable range. The only downside is so far the range doesn't sell seperate watch straps so you can buy more than one to interchange or change when the strap is broken.

Daniel Wellington Watches Men and Women
This is a little more on the higher price than Olivia Burton but in comparison is still a lot more affordable than some out there starting from £99 - £179 for women to now with a new range coming for the men's range from £99 - £219. The difference from other watches is that the case is the only thing that changes from the choice of only rose gold and silver. The style of the dial does change from different styles and the size, however all the watch faces appear to be the classic white style. This is great for a person who loves the simple plain white style watch, but not for those who like a different edge to their watches. The part i do love a lot about this range is you can buy the straps separate, so if on first purchase you could only afford the fabric watch as it was more affordable you can buy the leather strap later and have two styles to wear.

This Classic brand are pulling out all the stops in the higher mid range price ranging from £209 - £345 and come in very classic styles and case and face styles. They come in gold, rose gold and silver and really look stunning with their varying strap choices. In some way this brand is similar to the Daniel Wellington but with more case and face styles. I really do love their black style choice which the other two brands do not offer as it looks very classy and sharp. The brand also doesn't seem to gender specify it's watches and makes a lot of the range unisex, of course the brand seems more aimed at women, there are a few styles like the CM Black which both men and women can wear.

Fossil Watches Women and Men

The Rose Gold range is well known as the lower costing rival of the Marc Jacobs rose gold range, but this brand has a lot more to offer. They have so many different watches for men and women in so many different ranges and span from the price range as little as £65 - £249 for women and £85 -  £695 so span a complete range and styles to cover whatever kind of watch you wish. I think the range is wonderful in it's many case and strap styles in many different finishes and the range gives you so many options, this is great and also a downfall as you might really be a bit spoilt for choice, however you can limit this on the price bracket. I do feel the brand are a little bit cheating on the women's range with only up to £300 on the price range, which means the range isn't as technical as the men's but maybe in time this will change. No pun intended.

This is a British brand which has been inspired by the British Seaside and have two project lines avaliable from £115 with a range of different strapes and watch faces. This is a new upcoming brand and like the others it still manages to hold up it's own charm. I can't really say all the designs really make me feel like i am going to the seaside, which does confuse me a little as to why this is the theme. With disregarding that this isn't a brand that should be ignored and should be given credit for their work. You can also like the Daniel Wellington range choose the straps you wish to buy separately so have an endless choice of what to wear.

June Empties 2015

June Empties

It's that time for another empties post. Here are all the things that i have used up and i'll give you the low down on what i think about these products.

Baremineral's Mineral Veil - 9g - £20.00 - I was shocked i even came to the end of this as this finishing powder never seems to end. However i do really love this and it pairs extremely well with the original foundation. My foundation stays on all day and looks flawless. Even though this is a mineral powder, it doesn't look cakey on the skin. I have already repurchased this.

Benefit - They're Real Mascara - £19.50 - I have really fallen out of love with this mascara and i really hope it takes a fall from grace this year as there are so many better mascara's out there. This mascara dries up so quickly, it clumps to hell and is just a horror to get off.

REDKEN - Smooth Lock Shampoo - £13.80 - I adore this shampoo and i have repurchased this straight away. It makes my hair look and feel amazing. I also love the almond smell of it. I love anything that has heat protectant in it and this is a sure winner.

Vichy Derco Shampoo for Sensitive Skin - £5.66 - For a good value shampoo, this is really excellent and a great balance for a high quality shampoo. This really cleans your hair and helps get rid of any dandruff that is in the hair.

Sisley Black Rose Mask  - Sample Size - I can't deny, this mask was amazing, the sample size was such a teaser for the really expensive mask. I can't say it is worth the price but this little sample was a wonderful treat.

Rituals Fortune Scrub - £10.00 - I adore this scrub and finishing another of these was a pleasure. My back has never been cleaner. I already have a back up so and i'm already using it. The scene is so relaxing.

Caudlie Beauty Elixir - £11.20 - I do love this as a little treat and another bottle has come to an end. I really love the smell and the way this feels on my skin. However i won't be buying a back up anytime soon. I am looking to try other sprays.

Impulse tease - £1.99 - This is a easy peasy quick pick me up when you don't feel so fresh. Great to keep in your bag to get out when you most need it. I do like the scent but i think i will be moving back to perfumes to keep me smelling great as i don't feel this lasts very long.

Sanex Pro Hydrate Shower Gel - £3.19 - Cheap, lasts a long time and is great on my dry skin, i really cannot fault this. I love a good shower cream as opposed to Gel and this one sits on top of my list. I cannot deal with all the fragrance'd shower gels so this one really keeps that at bay from irritation.

Beauty / Skincare Wish List - May 2015

So another Month Rolls in and It's time to do my monthly skincare and beauty wish list and this month i've ticked a few more of my lists. See My January, February and April lists (Sorry i didn't find much i wanted in March).

Off My Wishlist (Purchased)

OPI Avoplex Cuticle Oil to go - £10.50 - This featured on last months list and I decided to get my hands on this oil. I am currently finishing an old one off to soon replace this and i can't wait to use it. I will keep you updated on this one.

Redken Hair Cleansing Cream 300ml - £11.25 - Also from last months list, I finally bit the bullet this month and have recently purchased this (Which will feature in my next Haul). My hair really struggles to go a day without washing so i feel it's time to get rid of the build up. Excited to try this out.

Maybelline Instant Anti Age Rewind Concealer - £7.99 - Featured in February's list, I have also recently purchased this (Which will feature in my next haul) It was on a 3 for 2 offer so i was happy to get this. I really hope it lives up to the hype. I hope this will help me to keep hold of concealer a bit longer and i can use these two together.

L'oreal Paris True Match Foundation - £9.99 -  And finally one from January. After using powder foundation for some time i decided to go back to liquid for a little as for me in the summer i much prefer it. So far i am loving this foundation in the shade fair and it is really bendable and leaves my skin finish looking natural. I am very glad i decided to pick this up.

I think this month I got a few things ticked off the want list. Alas there are still items I wish to try. Ever the blogger i am inside:

Wishlist:

MAC Matte Finish Lipstick in the Shade Mehr £15.50 - I saw Lily Pebbles wear this and i just loved the shade. My lips are quite pink so a lot of shades look horrendous on me, however this looks like the perfect shade for me.

REN Clear Calm 3 Clarifying Clay Cleanser - £19.00 - Clay based products and I are a match made in heaven and when i saw this little gem it needed to be on this list. Anything with Clay in it, especially masks really made my dull tried skin breathe life once more. I can't wait to try this.

NYX Setting Spray - £10.00  - The urban decay setting spray is a little bit expensive so i wanted to find a cheaper one, however there isn't many on the market. NYX have however brought their own out and i really want to give this a whirl.

The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil - £10.00 - I keep meaning to try this as i really have a great love for cleansing oils. They take off your make up so effortlessly and they make you skin feel nice, unlike micellar waters after use. I think this might be my next oil purchase when i finish my current one.

Lancome Grandious Mascara - £24.50 - An utter high end splurge product but after a bad mascara experiences i would love to know how good this one really is. I also want to know how easy it is to apply with it's swanned neck.

St Tropez Gradual in Shower Tan - £14.50 - Yes i am intrigued how this will work because i am one of these lazy tanners and if this makes it easier to do this. I really hate the smell of fake tan and how much of a chore it is even to look less pasty (and believe me i really am the pillsbury dough man).

And there you have my wishlist, let me know what items from this list you would love to try and what is on your wishlist.

Free Gift With Purchase - Feel Unique - Summer Gift Bag 2015

So my big feelunique order came in and with this it came with a fantastic gift with purchase, a summer bag with lots of freebies to try. I love freebies and feel unique are finally stepping up to the plate with this and in a very big way. I love when stores do this because not only does it encourage more sales initially but it allows people to try things that they possibly wouldn't have tried before. An excellent try before you buy, which for feel unique is excellent as all these items will be on their website. A few of these products are high end so these trial sizes are perfect.

The bag was sealed up and following products were in the bag.

Bourjois Easy nail Art kit - Sadly the only place i can find this kit is Sold out on the Selfridges website, so i assume this here shortly in more stores and on feel unique shortly. This is a fantastic brand new idea from Bourjois who seem to be dipping more and more into the nail cosmetic range. It is a nifty little nail kit in which you get various stencils and nail tape so you can create fancy nail art on top of your nail polishes.  I always find nail art so difficult and confusing to do and now i believe kits like this will make everything so much easier.

REN Centifolia Make up Remover  - I have never tried anything from REN and i was happy to see that have brought out a separate make up remover stage to their range. I believe a lot of people do forget to second cleanse and hopefully this stage will help people to realise that taking make up of and cleansing your face should be two separate stages. This sample is quite a hefty one and very good for a free gift with purchase. I cannot wait to give this a whirl on my summer holiday travels this year.

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Light Moisturiser - Sadly i am actually allergic to some ingredients in this so this will have to be something i give away. However the sample size of this pot is amazing. It is a 15ml jar and allows you to really get stuck into the moisturiser to see if you like it. If this wasn't this moisturiser i would have been extremely happy with this sample size.

ELEMIS Pro Collagen Ultra Rich Marine Cream - I believe this  range is one of ELEMIS's top sellers and i was thrilled to see this brand was in here. Sadly i have never tried anything from this brand so i am very excited the first thing i try is this. I have heard this moisturiser plumps the face and gives it a brighter healthier glow so i am looking forward to a few good nights with this doing wonders to my face.

Matias Response Corrective Hyaluronic Performance - I cannot say i have ever heard of this brand however anything with Hyaluronic acid it in is right up my street as it is one ingredient that my face loves. I am very excited to see the results from this to see if it does better than my hydraluron which is an all time cult classic for me.

Laura Geller Spackle Treatment Primer - First of all Spackle? Apparently a hydration formula that now only primes but heals the face. An interesting concept that keeps appearing. I do love a good primer, a bit of shame the full price isn't as cheap as the benefit, however i am not afraid to give this a go, i will see if this has it's spackling powers shortly.

Benefit High Beam - I always see this when i go up to a benefit counter and the thought of using this has terrified me. I can't say i am impressed with products that start at a liquid that you have to work in the face, the fact daunts me a little. Maybe i will conquer this fear and give it a whirl.

John Freda Sea Salt Spray - Sadly another which i will have to give away i believe. I don't have long enough hair to really appreciate this and i do not have the ability to create long healthy waves. However i have tried a lot of john freda products and i believe this will be no exception.

Caudalie Divine Oil - Oh i love me some Caudalie and oil so this is a match made in heaven. I cannot wait to put this on my skin. The thing i love about Caudalie is the smells and the wonderful natural ingredience inside every bottle. I am excited for this one. I have heard a lot of good reviews on this so i believe i will love this product.

As well as the free lovely red bag which for me will be perfect this summer when i hit the beach.

And there you have it, such a great mixed bag of summer travel sizes for you to try.

Check it out on feel unique where this bag is free with £80 spend.

Disclaimer: This post is not sponsored i just loved this free gift so much :)

My Favourite Finds - Summer Shoes 2015

So i was pouring the web and I felt inspired to write a post on the shoes which i am loving for summer.

Office Olivier Low Wedge Leather Sandal - £45.00 - These Sandals are stunning, i love a good wedge but for walking in style in the sun, I want something comfortable and these shoes are ideal. i love the colour and the slight gladiator style and the straps on this one give you so much ankle support. Definitely a summer staple.

Tom's season woven flats in Black - £50.00 - I love love Tom's and for walking long distances like i will be my summer treck in italy, i want something that not just looks good i want something that feels good. I love my current plain Tom's in the summer for walking around in the UK and I want to carry on looking stylish in these as well as comfortable.

Topshop Hotel Embellished Studded Sandals - £28.00 - Comfortable but perfect for an evening out. I really believe these Sandals are the business when it is too hot to wear full covered shoes or heels on your feet. These will easily go with a long dress, playsuit or even light summer trousers.

Dune Kruiz Gold Peep Toe Wedge Sandals - £45.00  - These are just such stunning wedges. These are perfect for a summer night out. I love the peep toe detail and the colour. The head over heal's range is always so comfortable as well as stylish.

White Laser Cut Ballerina Pump - £25.00  - Summer wouldn't be summer without a good ballet pump and this one is just beautiful. The laser cut does not just look beautiful but it gives your feet room to breathe which is key in summer.

Haviana Slim Flip Flops - £22.00 - We all love a good easy flip flop for the beach and these Haviana's are perfect for the occasion. You can easily get all the sand out and you won't but your feet. These slim ones are perfect for us ladies to compliment the feet so they don't look too bulky.

And there you have it, these are my top pics for shoes this summer. Let me know which shoes you are loving these season.

Small Boots Haul - May 2015

So i decided to do a little bit of online shopping at Boots, I didn't need a lot of things so i just picked up the things i needed the most.

Dove StyleCare+ Dry Shampoo 200ml - RRP £4.59 - Currently £2.30 - 1/2 on Selected Dove Products - I have used this dry shampoo in the past and loved it, and then all of a sudden, i couldn't find it anywhere, not even in my local boots. So i was thrilled when i saw it online and currently being Half price so i picked another of these up. I love this dry shampoo, it doesn't feel bitty in my hair.

Ogx Renewing Argon Oil of Morocco Conditioner 385ml -  £6.99 - I have used the shampoo and loved it, so i decided to wait and get the conditioner and pair this together with it. I am excited to see the results.

Loreal Paris True Match Foundation in Ivory - £9.99 - I have been wanting to try this foundation for some time. I do love my bare minerals foundation but i wanted to give a liquid foundation a go again and i have heard nothing but rave reviews. I tried it today and from first impressions it seem very good.

Clinique All about the eyes Rich 15ml - £26.00 - You probably look at the price for this small item but this stuff is thick and you need the smallest amount. I have tried this and it feels great on my skin. I have some very dry skin at the moment and hopefully this will do the trick paired with my Clinique Moisture Surge.

Cetreben Cream 50ml and Cetreben Lotion 50ml  - £3.99 each  - I have tried a lot of eczema treatment and I have recently heard about this brand. The lotion will help the skin to heal and the cream will lock in the lotion. I have tried this and liked it so far so i hope this will help.

And that is my haul from Boots. I love purchasing little essentials like this. Please leave a comment below telling what have you been latest purchases?

Benefit They're Real VS Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara - Review.

So i recently finished my Benefit They're Real Mascara and i have to say i did love it at first, but the more i used it, the more i feel out of love with it. So I was on the hunt for something else and i believe this is it.

The benefit mascara is a staple but since it came out, i feel mascara's have gotten so much better. The benefit one is really thick, i think the idea of this was the make lashes look fuller. It's really black and really packs on a punch to make your mascara look more real.

The problem with this revolution to me is that generally mascara dries up, and with the formula being thicker, I feel it dries up so quickly and for the price of this mascara i really think that it should last longer.

I used it for three months and in the third month I hated every second of it, it was far more clumpy, the wand had built up and it was so hard to do bottom lashes.

As it dried up, as the days went on, the fall out from this mascara made this mascara unreal. It was like my eye lashes were falling out all over.

So i decided to go back to drugstore, I have used the rocket from Maybelline, which kind of did the same thing, but was a lot more affordable than the benefit mascara so i wasn't bothered, so i turned to something different.

I turned to volume.

I have been using this Bourjois mascara now for close enough to three months now and so far it is going extremely strong. I have had no clumps, no fall out, the mascara lasts longer, my lashes actually look more real because they are longer and more defined. My lashes don't stick together, it comes off way easier and i really love how it applies.

The mascara is a little thinner, which i believe makes all the difference, it doesn't dry up so quick because the formula is a lot more water based, this makes it glide on better and give an overall better finish. The eye lashes look longer and really open up your eyes.

I love the wand, it's so effortless, you barely have to spend ages getting the right look, for me it takes two sweeps and my mascara is on perfectly.

A lot of you have been looking for alternatives and this is mine.

So what Mascara have you been loving? Leave a comment below letting me know.

Spring /Summer Makeup - 2015

Spring is here and summer is just around the corner and it's that time where we pack away our thick matt make up and change it up for something more light and summery. Here are my summer picks to make you look and feel good without feeling weighed down this summer:

Bareminerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydration Gel Cream - £26.00 - I believe this is perfect for for summer and being bare mineral's one of my all time favourite brands, they are kicking a punch with this. It has SPF 30 in it which will help protect your skin in the summer. This product is so light so it will not clog your face. Not just that this is more than just a foundation, it has skincare in this brand which is a total win. I wouldn't replace this with your normal skincare but i believe keeping skin hydrated is always amazing because in summer this is something a lot of people forget. It comes in so many shades and i believe with the properties in it i think this is a first for everyone foundation. I am in love with this.

Clinique Blushing Blush powder - In pink Love - £22.00 - I recently got a sample of this in a gift bag i got from Clinique and pink love in particularly is stunning. It gives such a stunning summer flush with a glittery glow. There are so many different shades of this which I believe a lot of these are too perfect for spring and summer. The product is really easy to apply and very bendable so you can put on a little or as much as you want.

Revlon Colourburst in Mischievous - £7.99  - This orange colour is the perfect shade for summer, it really pops and makes such a beautiful statement as you are lying on the beach or walking around in the sun. These crayons may be matte but they feel very
moisturising on the lips and with the sun beaming on you, you don't want your lip product moving. This one stays on your lips and looks amazing for hours on end.

Borujois Delice de Pourde Gold Bronzing Powder.  - £7.99 - This gold shimmery bronzer is perfect for summer, it makes your skin look summer shiny and not greasy which is perfect if you aren't in the hottest of countries. I really love the way this applies, it is very bendable and lasts for hours.

Maybelline The Rocket Mascara - £7.99  - I've accidentally had this on when i went for a dip in the pool and the sea and this has budged. For £7.99 this waterproof mascara is perfect. I have never had one issue with this, although some people do have an issue with the brush inside. I think it gives amazing volume and last all day.

Kiko Infinity Eyeshadow in Gold - £2.80 This shade is so stunning and is perfect for summer. The shimmery shade goes perfect with the rest of the make up and looks subtle enough to keep your lips popping. I adore kiko's eyeshadows and i believe so far they are so underated.

And that is my Spring Summer Make up item recommendations. What do you love to wear in spring/summer? Leave a comment below.
